"Palma's Heart" is an animated film that reinterprets the values of integrity and justice with a modern perspective through the story of Choi Seok, a historical figure from Suncheon during the Joseon Dynasty. This project aims to effectively convey Palma’s philosophy and promote the region’s historical heritage. From scenario planning and character design to 3D production and video editing, STUDIO 365 has brought its expertise and technical excellence to every aspect of the production.

순천에 부임한 청렴한 원님 최석은 아름다운 순천에서 정의를 세우고 백성들의 억울함을 풀어주며 신뢰를 쌓는다. 하지만 부패한 향리와 갈등을 겪으며 더욱 청렴하게 일하고자 하는 의지를 굳힌다. 임기를 마치고 서울로 떠날 때, 백성들이 준비한 말 8필을 선물로 받게 된다. 선물로 받는 것이 관례였던 시대, 최석도 사람이었던지라 흔들릴 수 밖에 없었다. 하지만 최석은 그리 나약하지 않았고 이를 순천으로 되돌려 보내기로 결심한다. 밖에서 최석의 결정을 듣던 8마리의 말들은 고향으로 다시 돌아갈 수 있다는 소식에 기쁨을 감출 수 없었다. 얼마 후, 말들과 함께 새로 태어난 망아지까지 순천으로 돌아오자, 백성들은 그의 선행을 기리며 "팔마비"를 세우게 된다.

The righteous governor Choi Seok was appointed to Suncheon, where he upheld justice, resolved the grievances of the people, and earned their trust. However, as he faced conflicts with corrupt local officials, his determination to remain steadfast in integrity only grew stronger. When his term ended and he was set to return to Seoul, the people of Suncheon presented him with eight horses as a farewell gift. Accepting such gifts was customary at the time, and even Choi Seok, being human, felt momentarily conflicted. Yet, he was not one to waver easily. Resolute in his principles, he decided to return the horses to Suncheon. Listening from outside, the eight horses, upon hearing that they would be returning home, could not contain their joy. Some time later, the horses—along with a newborn foal—arrived back in Suncheon. To honor Choi Seok’s integrity, the people erected a monument, which came to be known as Palma-bi.
